I moved in earlier this year and have had a great experience. The apartment is large, the grounds and facilities are well maintained, and the rent includes free (and fast) wifi and water. It’s great having the in unit washer and dryer and the covered, secured parking. The location is convenient to numerous restaurants, shopping centers, and local businesses. I’ve been very happy living here!

I have been a resident at Uptown Shaker II for over two years now. The maintenance team is highly responsive to any requests. Multiple projects have been completed to improve both the interior and exterior of the apartment complex while I have lived here. I love having the shared outdoor area for grilling and lounging. It's the best place to get to know the neighbors during the summer months. It's a fabulous location across from the newly developed Van Aken District and one block from Thornton Park which includes a pool, basketball courts, volleyball courts, sledding hill, tennis and more. You have to have covered parking in this climate and having an attached garage is great. Wifi included in the rent is a plus. It's also quiet. I rarely hear my neighbors. After having lived in NYC having so much space and in-unit laundry feels like such a luxury.

It is a nice apartment. It has in-suit laundry and drier (my favorite part), dish washer, microwave, hardwood and big window in the living room. The kitchen is big enough. Maintenance is prompt.

Spacious apartment in an excellent neighborhood. Walking to distance to the RTA and a nearby shopping center. There are plenty of other great activities nearby.Apartment Building is clean, wonderful, quiet and safe. Friendly neighbors and management is easily reachable. Management can be a little bit strict but that is to ensure a pleasant stay for all the tenants. Apartment also offers free WiFi, covered parking and a storage facility. I have enjoyed my stay here

I love the spacious rooms and the apartment size washer and dryer. It has a very nice recreation/exercise room with up-to-date equipment. The management and the maintenance is superb. I put in a maintenance request and get a reply usually before 24 hours, and they will do whatever possible to resolve the issue. And the manager does whatever she can to make sure that the place is ran smoothly and that we are kept safe. The apartment is in the middle of shopping and restaurants in either direction. The only con that I have is that there is not enough visitor parking spaces but other than that I am satisfied.

We have been at Uptown Shaker for almost a year now, and it has been a great experience! The apartments are spacious and clean, and maintenance is always available to attend to any issues that come up. In unit washer/dryer has been great. We have been so grateful for the garage parking, especially for cold or snowy days. Love being so close to the Van Aken district and so many other options nearby. Great option!

I really love the location (walking distance to Van Aken and next to tons of beautiful historical homes) and the amenities are excellent, including free internet and an in-unit washer and dryer. Those are the main reasons we chose to live there. I am knocking off a star, however, because the management is really difficult and they aren't very clear on some policies. Nevertheless, this is a good place to live in historic Shaker Heights.

Quiet and spacious apartment, friendly and super responsive maintenance, within walking distance of several good restaurants, shopping, and watering holes. Nearby parks and groceries. Building a tad old and policies a bit strict, but overall very comfortable and pleasant with nice neighbors. In unit laundry, free wifi and secure covered parking a very strong bonus along with storage space. Good value in a nice place. I have enjoyed my time here.

While I have only lived here for a few months, I have been very happy with the apartment. The unit itself has tons of room and is nicely outfitted with hardwood floors. The building is quiet and secure. I've had great experiences with Maintenance on a couple items where I needed their assistance. The wi-fi that is included with rent is great, as I work from home and need reliable internet.

Overall living here as been enjoyable. Maintenance is the best I've ever dealt with and the location is pretty nice. Management can come off as pretty stiff at times and are very strict about the lease, but I've definitely had enough positive experiences with them to understand they aren't bad people.

Have been living in the Cleveland are for 4 months now and Uptown Shaker has been a great place to call home. The units are spacious with beautiful hard wood floors and an updated kitchen. The manager, Stephen, is a professional. He responds to emails in a timely fashion and follows through on his word. Maitnence is wonderful and has followed through on any of our problems the very next day. Another bonus has been the location. We are in walking distance of various food and shopping options. The only complaint I have is the parking spots in the garage are a little tight, but being able to park your car where you don't have to deal with the Cleveland weather is worth it. My wife and I are very happy with our choice to live here.

The landlord really needs to be replaced. He placed a boot on my visitors car and demanded 75$. I showed him that she had a visitors pass he said “that is not my problem” and made us pay anyway. The locks on my door were falling off the hinges. The apartment common areas were never cleaned. The door to get in the front was always broken and he never replaced the knob despite being broken multiple times in a few years. Anytime a complaint is brought up he gets defensive much like the comments below. Overall I cannot recommend this apartment and chose to move my family away.

I really enjoy living in the Shaker apartments. I looked at many other apartments before I found this one and I’m glad that I did. It has so many amenities, like in suite washer and dryer at a reasonable price that I couldn’t find anywhere else

Overall, I am pleased with my choice. I chose this apartment because it is not far from work, the highways, and shopping. It's also nice to have the Van Aken District within walking distance and you can hop on a train to go downtown there, too. Although there are many nearby apartments with lower rent, this is one of the only places that had what I wanted: covered/garage parking, central A/C, in-unit washer/dryer, and ok for pets. The 2 bedroom I am in is easily 3x larger than my previous apartment and is well maintained. The on-site maintenance staff has been VERY helpful as well.

I have lived here over 3 years and like it. All maintenance issues are dealt with quickly & professionally. The staff is friendly & helpful. The neighbors are friendly. A good apartment for the price & a good area.

I’ve lived here for a few months now, and the whole experience has been great!This is my first apartment in the Cleveland area, and I was told to prepare for snow, so what really sold me on these apartments was the included garage parking. Bonus - it’s secured, so I don’t have to worry about leaving things in my car. Actually, the whole building is secured with key card access, so I always feel safe. I have a two bedroom/ two bath, and it is super spacious, especially for the price. With previous apartments, I’ve had problems finding storage, but here there are so many closets, I need more stuff to fill them! The location is great, too. I feel like I never have to drive more than 20 minutes to get to where I need to go. I’m very excited for the new Van Aken district to start opening up as well as the rock gym next door. Definitely would recommend this apartment to anyone looking!-Nikki

Excellent maintenance staff, very helpful with any issues as well as working quickly to fix them, Apartments have a lot of space and are cozy and comfortable. Great location as it is close to stores, restaurants, and the freeway. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a nice cozy place to call home.

- I have been a resident at the new Uptown Shaker Apartments going on 2 years now. The suits are extremely spacious and accommodates all your storage needs. The building offers many amenities such as a second floor outdoor deck/lounge area. The one building includes a party room. For those who have a family/friend event, I suggest checking it out. There is indoor parking as well, living in Cleveland it's a godsend. If issues occur in your unit, no problem. Maintenance is always there. You will never see rubbish in the halls. Pretty sure someone cleans on a daily basis around here. People for the most part are super friendly. No need to worry about crime. The police have the area pretty well patrolled. Another plus, your pretty much in the center of it all. Downtown, Little Italy, Coventry all just a short drive away. For those looking for freeway entrances, just a mere ten minute drive. I can go on and on with the benefits of the area. Thanks for reading.

Apartments are in a convenient location- there is a new shopping center coming up right around the corner; there are grocery stores; and gas stations within 5 minutes. These apartments come with a a lot of amenities which is great because rent is at a reasonable price as well. However, management can be a little difficult to work with. Pro-tip: read your lease very carefully. Other than that, it is a decent apartment and for the past year and a half I've lived here, it has been safe!

I have lived at this location for over one year now. The new management is highly responsive to requests and maintains a clean & secure facility. The on-site maintenance crew is friendly, responsive and professional. In the year I've been here I've observed multiple enhancements to the property which are on-going. This is a fabulous location and a great price, especially compared to the new luxury apartments moving in across the street. Having garage parking included in the rent is a good deal. Walking half a block to Thornton Park for all that it offers is so convenient. I'm excited for the Van Aken District shops to open - which will only make this a more premier location. It's also really quiet. I rarely hear my neighbors. It is fun to meet them when grilling outside during the summer. Very friendly & courteous neighbors.
